The term "allergy" is defined by the medical establishment as "an abnormal reaction to a substance that is usually considered harmless, resulting in an immune system response".
If there is not an immune system response, you are then said to have an "intolerance" or "sensitivity".
A Registered Holistic Allergist defines an allergy or intolerance as: "a bioenergetic counteraction to a given substance which results in a negative reaction within the body".
